This webinar shares research on curriculum equality. The facilitator provides examples of how equity can be facilitated in the classroom by allowing students to choose their own research topics, studying black authors and businesspeople, and by studying international authors and businesspeople based on the nationalities of the students in the class. A small panel of students speak as well and are available for questions on the day of the webinar.
Learning Outcomes:
- Participants are inspired to improve their curriculum by incorporating current research on equality in the curriculum.
- Participants garner ideas from activities the facilitator has done in her classroom to promote equality.
- Participants hear students’ perspectives about what equality in the classroom should look like.
