Operation EAGLE- Navigating Student Care Concerns

| Operation EAGLE (Empowering Advisor Growth, Leadership, and Excellence) is an advisor-lead professional development series. Each session includes an engaging presentation as well as opportunities to review case studies and engage in discussion. While Operation EAGLE sessions are designed for individuals with a primary role in providing students with advisement, all will benefit from the sessions!
Operation EAGLE – Navigating Student Care Concerns will focus on supporting students experiencing personal difficulties. Attendees will be able to: · Recognize when outside expertise is need to deal with difficult or emergency student situations · Follow established protocols in reporting and documenting student care concerns · Use active listing, clarifying questions, and statements to maintain and build rapport with students experiencing difficult or emergency situations · Locate and refer students to resources that provide support across the larger OTC community
