Veteran Suicide Prevention

We often want to share our support of veterans and its common practice to honor veterans every year on Veterans Day. But how can we better and more fully support our past and current service members? Come learn the facts about veteran suicide and what you can do to support our veterans, enhance quality of life, and prevent suicide.
JoAnn Morrison is a Suicide Prevention Coordinator with the Fayetteville, Arkansas VA. She works at the Springfield CBOC (Community Based Outpatient Clinic) which is affiliated with VHSO, Veteran Health Services of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. She graduated from University of Mo in Columbia with her Masters in SW. She is a License Clinical Social Worker and worked at Mercy Hospital for a number of years, then worked at Ft Leonard Wood in Behavioral Health and since 2018 has worked as a Suicide Prevention Coordinator at the VA.
