ONE Grant: African-American Heritage Trail Event

As a part of building an employee culture that promotes wellness through the Burrell Behavioral Health ONE Grant, we (the DEI office & ONE Grant team) invite you to join us on a brief tour of the Springfield African-American Heritage Trail. This is an opportunity to get active, connect with colleagues across the college, and learn about some of the contributions of the African-American community in Springfield.
The tour is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18th, and will begin at the first marker directly outside of Lincoln Hall at 11:00 am. We will commute (however is most accessible/comfortable for you) in about a 1-2 mile radius that circles a couple of markers through Drury Campus, to Silver Springs Park, and conclude back at OTC campus. If you plan to walk, please wear comfortable shoes and be sure to stay hydrated during the tour. This event will qualify as a community engagement activity for professional development.
