We’re all in the same boat, but is your team paddling together? COVID-19 has created an ever-changing and stressful environment. Being a leader, manager or supervisor has never been more difficult. No longer can you “get by” on titles, seniority or technical experience. Today’s leader also needs specific skills and practice to effectively communicate and manage conflict.

Join CWD Industry Expert, Marlene Chism, as she shares specific actions you can take to build a platform for increasing conflict capacity and improving leadership communication. You will enhance your abilities to perform in today’s environment and beyond. This virtual learning series will include three 90-minute sessions available individually for $250 each or the series of three for $600 (a savings of $150).

Session 1: Clarity

In all drama there is always a lack of clarity. As a leader clarity is the one thing you can use to create understanding, manage conflicts and identify the real obstacles to productivity, collaboration and teamwork. The one with clarity always navigates the ship.

Session 2: Radical Listening
October 21, 2021 9:00-10:30 a.m.

As a leader, you will get criticized, employees will complain, and you’ll hear negativity. Many leaders go into fight, flight or freeze mode. Radical listening is a learned skill to help identify irresponsible language, make the other person feel heard and get to the crux of the issue without wasting time or causing even more conflict.

Session 3: Overcome Resistance
October 28, 2021 9:00-10:30 a.m.

Guess what every difficult conversation has in common? Resistance. It is difficult to deal with resistance, but not dealing with it results in resisting the resistance. Discover a way to identify and test for resistance, as well as two techniques to overcome resistance.

  • Registration is non-refundable unless course is canceled by OTC. Attendee substitution permitted with advance notice to OTC.
