Stop the Violence Conference

FreeJoin your OTC colleagues in attending the annual Stop the Violence Conference at Missouri State University.
The Stop the Violence Conference is a community call to action to stop interpersonal violence. Attendees will have a choice of various breakout sessions and two keynote presentations. The Stop the Violence conference is provided by the Family Violence Task Force with coordination support by Missouri State University, Abilities First, and the Greene County Family Justice System.
Please RSVP below by Thursday, September 29. Anyone who has RSVPed by this deadline will be a part of OTC’s group registration and will not need individually register for the event.
OTC faculty and staff will gather for a brown bag lunch from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Carpooling will be coordinated for anyone interested.

- 7:45 AM – Meet at OTC – for faculty and staff interested in carpooling to MSU
- 8:30 AM – Check-In
- 9:00 AM – Welcome – Dan Patterson, Greene County Prosecutor
- 9:15 – 10:15 AM – Morning Keynote – Building Capacity to Work with Survivors of all Abilities, Kristi Kliewer, Inclusion Educator Abilities First
- 10:30 – 11:30 AM – Breakout Sessions
- 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM – Brownbag lunch with OTC Colleagues
- 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Breakout Sessions
- 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM – Afternoon Keynote – Post-Separation Coercive Control, Moderator: Paula Rector, MSU Criminology Instructor; Panelists: Lisa Saylor, Domestic Violence Survivor, Corporal David Hatch, Springfield Police Department, Tim Stillings, Lead Navigator with Harmony House at the Family Justice Center
