Location: LCS-228 on the Richwood Valley Campus – there will not be a virtual option for this session.
Presenter: Dr. Courtney Smith-Nelson, Instructor – Mathematics
Session Description: Research suggests the intersection of experiences and behaviors associated with both trauma and neurodivergence can impact students’ equitable access to education. This session offers faculty actionable classroom practices to support a neurodiverse student population through trauma-informed pedagogy. Participants are invited to reflect on different forms of trauma and neurodiversity present in our classrooms, and to consider some trauma-informed instructional strategies to support all students.
Lunch will be provided to those who register by Monday, March 24.
